Recently, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), worked with the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department.

At the meeting, Senior Colonel Vu Hoai Bac, Director of the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department briefed the delegation on results of the provincial police’s task performances, saying that they have ensured local security and social order in the first quarter of 2021 while improving the capacity of the professional police forces in districts and communes across the province.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son spoke highly of the provincial police’s efforts and achievements in performing their tasks.

Regarding their key missions in the coming time, the Deputy Minister asked the police of Tra Vinh province to attach importance to grasping the local security situation to actively advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee and the MPS on measures to ensure local security and social order.

They should mobilize forces and means to safeguard political events in the locality, especially the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure.

Additionally, the provincial police should also pay due attention to Party and force building and further strengthen professional district- and communal- level police forces.
