Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Yen Bai Province police

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on April 7 worked with the Yen Bai Provincial Police Department on the local security and social order situation.

Overview of the meeting.

At the meeting, Senior Colonel Dang Hong Duc, Director of the Yen Bai Provincial Police Department briefed the deputy minister on its task performance in the first quarter of 2021, saying that the local security and order situation was maintained. The provincial police implemented actively professional measures to safeguard the important targets and political events, as well as the visits of leaders of Party and State to the province.

Additionally, the director stated that the Yen Bai police ensured sufficient finance, logistical supplies and technical services for their missions while practicing thrift and anti-wastefulness. The police leaders at all levels focused on investing in facilities, equipment and technologies for key forces and areas.

Addressing at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son spoke highly of the provincial police’s efforts and achievements in performing their tasks.

He emphasized that the MPS has submitted a scheme “Building capacity of district-level police force in the period of 2021-25” to the Prime Minister for approval. The scheme aims at building a comprehensively strong, highly capable and gradually modernized district police force with professionally and morally qualified officers.

It also gradually invests in modern working facilities and equipment for the district level police force. Therefore, the Yen Bai Provincial Police Department should actively develop a detailed plan with concrete objectives.

Regarding key missions in the coming time, the MPS leader stated that the Yen Bai police should mobilize forces and means to safeguard the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the term 2021-2026. They also should focus on Party and force building, as well as encourage the commune police forces to accomplish their assignments.
