HCMC’s traffic police step up cooperation with their counterparts in neighboring localities

PSNews – The Ho Chi Minh City’s Traffic Police Division and the traffic police units from neighboring localities held a ceremony on January 21 to sign a coordination program to ensure traffic safety and order in the sub-region.

The Ho Chi Minh City’s Traffic Police Division and the traffic police units from neighboring localities held a ceremony on January 21 to sign a coordination program to ensure traffic safety and order in the sub-region.

The signatories include the traffic police forces of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nam, Long An, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang and Ba Ria Vung Tau province.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duong, Head of the Traffic Police Division under the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Police Department, the traffic police of the Ho Chi Minh City and the six neighboring localities has effectively coordinated in ensuring traffic safety on the routes running through the localities over the past time.

The traffic police units in the sub-region regularly organized joint patrols and cooperated in handling violations.

Based on the good results of their cooperation over the past time, the traffic police forces of Ho Chi Minh City and the seven provinces developed a new coordination program to further enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their coordination and cooperation, especially in preventing traffic congestion, illegal racing and crimes on local routes, contributing to maintaining traffic order, safety and security in the sub-region.
