MPS leader checks concentrated quarantine zone for public security officers

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control under the MPS, on June 10 inspected the concentrated quarantine zone for COVID-suspected public security officers set up in the Training Center No.1 of the Mobile Police Command.

A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) headed by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control under the MPS, on June 10 visited and inspected the concentrated quarantine zone for COVID-suspected public security officers set up in the Training Center No.1 of the Mobile Police Command.

After checking the facilities and logistic supplies at the quarantine area in the Training Center No.1, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised the center’s staff for their good preparations, saying the unit actively made good preparation for setting up the concentrated quarantine zone for COVID-suspected officers and soldiers of under-ministerial public security agencies and units.

At the same time, the Deputy Minister asked the relevant functional agencies under the MPS to draft detailed quarantine plans for officers with different levels of risks in order to prevent cross-transmission in the concentrated quarantine area.
 
Regarding the recommendations and proposals given by the Mobile Police Command during the inspection, the MPS leader urged relevant public security agencies and units to promptly seek appropriate solutions to ensure safety in quarantine areas.

* Later on the same day, the delegation visited and worked with the Institute of Science and Technology under the MPS on the preparation for a large-scale Sars-Cov-2 testing drive.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son hailed the efforts and preparations of the institute for the Sars-CoV-2 testing drive. He asked the institute to invest more in modern equipment, chemicals, and biological products so as to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing. 

In addition, the institute should promptly propose the Ministry of Health to certify its testing eligibility, the Deputy Minister added.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that the whole Public Security Forces should heighten their sense of responsibility to successfully fulfill all assigned tasks in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
