New leadership of Mobile Police High Command announced

PSNews – The Mobile Police High Command organized a conference on August 28 to announce decisions on organization and leadership, and review its performance of tasks in the first half of 2018.

At the event

The event saw the presence of Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

At the conference a number of decisions of the Public Security Minister on the posting of leading positions, functions, missions and organizational structure of the Mobile Police were announced. Under the decisions, Lieutenant General Pham Quoc Cuong was reappointed by the Minister of Public Security as the Commander of the Mobile Police High Command.

The conference also listened to reports on the Mobile Police’s task performance in the first half of 2018.

The reports said that the Mobile Police High Command had effectively coordinated with functional forces to grasp, assess and predict situations; provide timely advice to the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on various plans to deploy forces to protect important targets, political events and activities of Party and State leaders.

The High Command also proposed the MPS leadership to deploy forces and means to support local police forces in dealing with various major criminal or drug-related cases, and promptly and effectively solve complicated security cases, including incidents in Ta De village, Long Luong commune, Van Ho district, Son La.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son congratulated and praised the Mobile Police force on the achievements.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son also handed over decisions on appointment of leading positions to officers of the High Command, and awarded outstanding teams and individuals.
