People's Police University asked to improve training capacity and quality

PSNews – The People’s Police University on September 30 held a solemn ceremony to kick off the 2017-2018 academic year with the attendant of Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

According to Major General Trinh Van Thanh, Director of the People’s Police University, the university has made a number of important breakthroughs in education and training during the 2016-2017 academic year.

In the 2016-2017 academic year, the university was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training while 4 units and 18 cadres, lecturers of the school were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Public Security…

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son praised the efforts of the teachers, officers and students of the People’s Police University as well as their outstanding achievements in education and training of the academy in the academic year 2016-2017.

Regarding the 2017-2018 academic year, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son urged the university to continue implementing the Master Plan on improving the capacity and quality of training of public security schools until 2020 and thoroughly implement Project 1252 of the Ministry of Public Security on strengthening and renovating the education and training mission in the Public Security Forces in the 2016-2020 period; and to fully grasp the policy of the Party and State on fundamentally and comprehensively renovating education and training.

He asked the People’s Police University to continue speeding up the compilation of textbooks and training documents, which should include up-to-date political, legal and professional issues as well as practical experiences and lessons from the realities of preventing and fighting against crimes.
