Vietnam – Austria to strengthen security ties

PSNews – Lieutenant General Bui Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security on October 3 received newly-accredited Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Vietnam Thomas Schuller Gotzburg.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh welcomed Ambassador Thomas Schuller Gotzburg and hoped that the newly-accredited Ambassador of Austria during his office term would contribute to consolidating bilateral relations, friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Austria in general and between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and Austria’s law enforcement agencies in particular.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh stressed that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam highly appreciates Austria’s products in the fields of security, high technology, fire prevention, fire-fighting and rescue.

He wished that cooperation between units of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and enterprises of the Republic of Austria will be strengthened, especially in transferring advanced and modern technologies in fire prevention and fire-fighting, rescue and surveillance technology, to better support task performance of the Vietnamese Public Security Forces.

Ambassador Thomas Schuller Gotzburg, for his part, thanked Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh for the reception. He pledged that he, in his capacity, will do his best to contribute to deepening the good relationship between the two countries and between Austria’s law enforcement agencies and Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security.

Ambassador Thomas Schuller Gotzburg hoped that the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security will continue creating favorable conditions for Austrian businesses to invest in Vietnam, and promote cooperation with units of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in the fields of mutual interest.
