Young police officer arrests dangerous drug-related criminal despite injury

The Criminal Investigation Team on Crime - Economy – Drugs being awarded.

According to Senior Colonel Mai Hong Ha, Head of the Quy Chau District Police in Nghe An province, the Criminal Investigation Team on Crime - Economy – Drugs detected and successfully arrested Quang Van Duc (27), at Chien Tien bridge in Minh Tien village, Chau Tien commune and seized 28.92 grams of heroin.

During the arrest, Quang Van Duc tried to flee away, he violently fought back Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Anh Dung.

Quang Van Duc, residing in Muong Noc commune, Que Phong district, Nghe An province, and a heavy drug addict, frequently transported drugs from Que Phong district to Quy Chau district for sales, which badly affected the local security situation.

During the fight against the criminal, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Anh Dung was injured but he was still with his comrades to overpower the dangerous criminal.

Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Anh Dung was later taken to Quy Chau General Hospital for examination and treatment.

On June 23, he was rewarded by the Quy Chau District People Committee.
