Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Lao Cai Police

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on December 9 worked with the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department.

Reports at the event read that, in 2019, the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department has actively evaluated and forecasted the situation and advised the Ministry of Public Security, the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to effectively solve strategic issues, especially those related to border security.

The local police proactively opened campaigns to suppress criminals. Accordingly, the rate of successfully investigated criminal cases reached 91%, of which 100% of the serious and extremely serious cases were solved. The provincial police forces have destroyed numerous major inter-provincial and trans-national drug-related rings, criminal gangs and other criminal organizations related to human trafficking, hi-tech crime and crimes involving foreigners.

Regarding the force building, the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department has well conducted political education for their officers and soldiers, successfully implemented the Party's directives and resolutions, actively carried out social and charitable activities, and participated in building the new rural model in the province. The provincial police also maintained the movement “All people protect national security” and replicated various self-managed security models in localities

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son recognized and praised the achievements obtained in 2019 by the Lao Cai provincial police.

Regarding their missions in the coming time, the Deputy Minister suggested the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department focus on Party and force building, uphold the sense of internal unity and solidarity while expanding international cooperation, stepping up the fight against crimes, ensuring stability of security and order in the province, contributing to local socio-economic development
