Vietnam Film Festival 2021 to take place in September

With the theme “Building Vietnamese movie industry with rich national identities, modernity and humanity”, the festival is slated to take place from September 12-16 in the ancient capital city of Hue in the central province of Thua Thien Hue.

The 22nd Vietnam Film Festival will feature many major events such as the screening of new entries, a panoramic show, seminars, as well as opening and awards ceremonies, aiming to highlight the creativity of cinematographic art, professionalism, human values and national identities.

Additionally, within the framework of the festival, various other activities will take place in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City such as film week programmes, exchange programmes, an exhibition entitled “Thua Thien Hue – destination of film makers, an outdoor film screening and an Ao Dai show.

As reported, the biennial festival aims to honour outstanding cinematographic works and artists for their contributions to the development of Vietnamese cinema. This-year programme will be also a cultural and arts event to celebrate the major holidays of the country in 2021, especially the13th National Party Congress.
