Food, beverage, packing expos underway in HCM City
As many as 550 businesses from 20 nations and territories are presenting their products at the 22nd International Exhibition on Food and Beverage and the 22nd International Exhibition on Food Processing, Packing Technology and Equipment (VietFood & Beverage – ProPack), that opened in HCM City on August 8.

More than 3,000 new products and 20 strong domestic brands in the food and beverage sector such as Sabeco, Habeco, Dr.Thanh, along with 30 organic products are on show at the two expos running from August 8-11.
Notably, seven national pavilions, especially those from India, Poland and Thailand have attracted a large number of visitors.
Organizers launched a string of specialized seminars and trade promotion programs to boost business connectivity and offer incentives to special customers.
Pham Thanh Kien, director of HCM City’s Department of Industry and Trade emphasized that the strong presence of foreign businesses in the Vietnamese market will present opportunities for cooperation and investment at export processing-industrial zones, thus generating more jobs, boosting transfer of advanced technologies and production of diversified and convenience products.
In addition, this will help domestic businesses to improve their competitive capacity and stimulate them to renew themselves for participation in a common playground, Kien noted.
The exhibitors at these events also introduced state-of-the-art technologies and equipment in the food processing and beverage sector such as fruit processing machines, ice cream makers, and animal feed making machines.
