Vinamilk tops most valuable companies in Vietnam

PSNews-The Forbes Vietnam has just released Vietnam’s 40 most valuable companies. Accordingly, Vinamilk, with its value of over $1.7 billion, accounting for 30% of $ 5.4 billion of the total value of the 40 firms, ranked first.

It is second year in a row Vinamilk has topped the list with a 13% increase in its brand value from the previous year, and double the value of Viettel, the second on the list with its value of $ 849.6 million.

Among the 40 largest companies rated by the Forbes Vietnam, consumer goods production companies dominate the list, the financial and banking sector follows and information technology and telecommunication (ICT) is placed at the bottom of the list. Most of the currently renowned businesses in Vietnam are on this list.

The Forbes’ rating is based on the role of the brands in contributing to the enterprises’ business performance. Accordingly, valuable brands are the ones that earn bigger revenues and take the lead in the field. After selecting more than 80 big enterprises, the Forbes Vietnam calculates the enterprises’ pre-tax incomes and loans and their interests, and determines the value of incorporeal property.

From the beginning of 2017, Vinamilk and Mai Kieu Lien - General Director of Vinamilk have been honored four times by the Forbes Asia and Vietnam when she received the Global 2000, Top 50 companies listed in Vietnam’s security market, 50 most influential women in Vietnam and Top 40 valuable brands in Vietnam.
