20th Vietnam Film Festival opens

129 films produced by Vietnam and other ASEAN countries will be screened at the 20th Vietnam Film Festival in Da Nang city from Friday until Tuesday.

Vuong Duy Bien, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, told VOV: “With the experience and thorough preparations of the organization board, Da Nang authority, and the Vietnam Cinematography Department, the Film Festival will be a success.
Vietnamese movies will be promoted and 20 Film Festivals have marked the progress of Vietnam’s Cinematography.”
Themed “Building a modern, civilized Vietnamese movie industry”, the Festival is expected to draw 200 Vietnamese and foreign guests and 800 artists, producers, and distributors.
