6.1 million tourists visit Hanoi in first quarter of 2017
PSNews-Hanoi is striving to attract 23 million tourists, including 4.3 foreigners, and earn VND 66 trillion of revenue, according to Tran Duc Hai, Deputy Director of Hanoi Tourism Department.

The number of tourists to Hanoi in the first quarter of 2017 is expected to reach 6.1 million, a 7% rise compared to the same period of 2016.
The number of foreign tourists to Hanoi also reached 1.2 million. The revenues from tourism in the Q1 reached over VND 18 trillion, up 9% year on year. China, South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, America, France and Australia remained major markets with large numbers of visitors to Hanoi.
In order to develop the tourism brand of Hanoi, the Municipal Tourism Department has worked with all 21 districts and towns of the city to develop of high quality tourist products in the following years; and signed agreements on exchange of experience in state management of tourism with 25 provinces and cities in the period 2016-2020.
The Department of Tourism also promotes the image of Hanoi on CNN; is working with a number of businesses, units and associations on the construction of new tourist products; exchanging information on the numbers, tastes, demands, spending levels of the international tourists to Hanoi and Vietnamese tourists to foreign countries.
