Fashion event highlights Indonesia culture

PSNews – The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Hanoi on December 16 held a fashion show named “Wonderful Indonesia - Inspired by Culture” to represent the Indonesia’s cultural identity.

The event saw the presence of Indonesia Ambassador to Vietnam Ibnu Hadi; Director General for export development at the Indonesia Ministry of Trade Arlinda Imbang, famous fashion designers from Indonesia and many fashion lovers and audiences in Hanoi.

“Wonderful Indonesia - Inspired by Culture” was one of the activities of the Vietnam International Fashion Fair 2018 which took place from December 13th to 18th under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

This was an opportunity for Indonesia to introduce to Vietnamese fashion lovers Indonesia cultural features through products from many famous Indonesian brands, a batik collection, ethnic garments, textiles, accessories and bags showcased at 34 booths.

In addition, audiences also had chance to enjoy the traditional and modern dances of Indonesia; experienced products made by many famous Indonesian designers such as Marita, Enggar, Sidomukti; and participated in many interesting games.

Earlier on December 14, the Indonesia Embassy also held the program “Colors of Indonesia: Fashion and Beauty” to introduce a number of fashion and cosmetics collections from Indonesia to Vietnamese women.
