Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019 concludes successfully
The Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019, starting from April 26, has gathered over 350 artisans and famous craftsmen from 60 traditional craft production establishments and villages, along with many international artisans and delegations.
Within the framework of the festival, many art programs were held to serve the domestic and international audiences. These included the Hue culture-inspired opening ceremony of the festival, the Republic of Korea's music program, the Ao Dai shows, and the art program "Melody of the Fatherland."
According to Mr. Nguyen Dang Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Hue Municipal People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019, after 6 days, the festival has attracted over 400,000 visitors, up by 2.3 times compared to 2017.
The countries with largest numbers of visitors to Hue during the festival were the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, France and the US respectively.
During the festival, the participating traditional craft production establishments and villages earned nearly 10 billion VND of sales. Le Gia fine art furniture, Duc bronze casting and Bat Trang pottery village got big profits from selling their craft products.
These fruitful results showed that the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019 was organized professionally and successfully, meeting the needs of both domestic and foreign tourists for learning and purchasing traditional craft products.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee also honored artisans, traditional craft production establishments and villages with large contributions to the success of the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019.
