According to Cocobay Da Nang, there are 30 open-top bus services a day, with an interval of 30 minutes between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. The tour aims to create a “more real experience” for sightseers, according to the city’s tourism authority.

The first batch of 12 open-top buses will start service from August 19 at CocoBay – Da Nang’s largest entertainment-cum-hospitality complex – and the coastline.
The open-top double-decker bus project was joint project by Empire Group and local car maker Truong Hai. The buses have 12 seats on the lower deck and 42 seats on the upper deck.
The buses will depart at the Da Nang International Airport, passing through the Museum of Cham Sculptures, the Love Bridge, the East Sea Park and the My Khe Beach, and arrive at the Cocobay Entertainment and Tourism Complex.
Empire Group, the investor of Cocobay, said the project would be expanded to the leading tourist destinations in Vietnam such as Nha Trang and Phu Quoc Island.
Double-decker buses are popular among tourists in London, Berlin, Barcelona, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore for their convenience and affordability. Visitors can easily reach famous tourists sites on their own and enjoy the scenery of the city at the same time.
Last year, the Prime Minister approved a five-year plan to pilot city tours using open-top double-deck buses in Hanoi, Quang Nam, Danang, Thua Thien-Hue, Lam Dong, Kien Giang and HCMC.
