Over 1000 artists join international choir contest in Hoi An

Within the framework of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival, the opening ceremony of the International Choir Contest 2017 took place on June 7, in Hoi An theater.

The INTERKULTUR Association in collaboration with the Hoi An Municipal People’s Committee hosts the event, which runs from June 7-11, with the participation of over 1.000 artists of 32 international choirs across the world.

As the host of this-year contest, Hoi An has well prepared facilities, modern music and light systems, in accordance with the international standard.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee stated that this contest is an important activity to promote cultural and artistic heritages as well as potential values of Hoi An and Quang Nam tourism.

This also provides an opportunity for Vietnamese artists to experience the world's advanced music so as to continuously develop the art of the country.
