Over 80 artisans to participate in Vietnam – International Silk and Brocade Festival

The 5th Vietnam – International Silk and Brocade Festival is co-hosted by the Hoi An Municipal People’s Committee (Quang Nam Province) and Quang Nam Silk Company.
The festival will take place on August 7 -9 at the Hoi An Silk Village and Hoi An Ancient Town.
The Vietnam – International Silk and Brocade Festival aims at honoring the Vietnamese culture of traditional silk weaving and creating more opportunities for Vietnamese silk businesses to seek partnership, gradually bringing Vietnamese silk to the international market.
The 5th Vietnam – International Silk and Brocade Festival will attract over 80 artisans from various famous silk weaving villages nationwide.
Within the festival, the artisans will demonstrate their traditional weaving and dyeing methods to visitors.
According to the Hoi An Provincial People’s Committee, the festival also gives a review of the whole development of the Vietnamese silk craft in the relation with the current trend of the international silk production industry to seek an appropriate cooperation and development path for the Vietnamese silk industry.
