As person in charge of this photo exhibition, photographer Nguyen Kieu Linh stated that her purpose is to bring audiences different perspectives of contemporary dance including artists on stage, behind the scene. She also wanted to create a strong connection between the two regions to which Linh have a strong attachment, Hanoi and Lyon.
She also shared that this exhibition is a sequel to her another exhibition in Lyon, France. Passion for photography and for dance has promoted Linh to organize the exhibition.
“Contemporary dance combines harmoniously the supple body movements and the emotions in the soul of the dancers. I believe that a photo that captures the movements of the contemporary dancers can stir strong emotions in the audience. If dance is one of the specialties of Lyon, photography also made the name of the region and is a perfect tool to honor the art of dance,” Linh added.
Photographer Dao Duc Tuan said: “ Each movement of the artist in combination with music and light can create impressive artworks.”
"The Regards Croisés” (Common Viewpoint) photo exhibition opens until September 17 at the French Cultural Center L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien, Hanoi.
