“Revitalization of dead lands” photo exhibition opens in Da Nang

PSNews – The photo exhibition named “Revitalization of dead lands” introduces visitors over 200 photos and objects relating to the chemical war in Vietnam, as well as the work of overcoming the consequences of bombs, landmines and toxic chemicals.

| The Chemical Command of Vietnam in collaboration with the Municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of HCMC and the Da Nang Municipal of Culture and Sports on November 7 kicked off the photo exhibition themed “Revitalization of dead lands”. |

| The exhibition features three major parts including: Addressing the environment contaminated with war-left poisonous substances, Post-war bomb and mine clearance, and Revitalization of dead lands |

| It provides visitors better understandings about the consequences of the chemical warfare caused by the US military in Vietnam, while calling for social community and international friends to join hands to support Agent Orange/dioxin victims, protect the ecological environment, and revive dead lands after the war, contributing to the country’s socio-economic development |

| Over the past 40 years, Vietnam and the US Governments have made efforts to heal the wounds of war, particularly collecting and treating toxic chemicals and settling environmental pollution |

| The photo exhibition will last until December 22 |
