Vietnam – RoK Film Festival to open in Hanoi

• Vietnamese movie wins prize at Cairo int’l film festival
• Vietnamese film won Best Film at Kolkata Film Fest
• “Drowsy City” to join Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival

This year’s film festival will introduce Hanoian movie lovers many  blockbusters with attractive themes and excellent actors. They include The Great Battle, Unbowed, The Accidental Detective 2: In Action, Along with the Gods: The Last 49 days and The Tailor. Additionally, the film festival will also screen famous cartoon movies of RoK for children, including Tayo bus, Lavar, Jadoo.

In particular,  Ahn Sung Ki, the man called "national actor" of RoK will participate in the opening ceremony of the Vietnam - RoK Film Festival 2018, and have exchanges with Vietnamese audiences. Ahn Sung Ki was born in 1952 and graduated from the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies under the Foreign Languages University of RoK. He is a talented actor, a symbol of RoK cinema. 

He was the first Korean actor to leave his fingerprints and footprints at the Grauman Chinese Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles. He has made many contributions to promoting the Korean cinema in particular and Korean culture in general to the whole world. Ahn Sung Ki has also been known for his work as a Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Korea since 1991.
