The exhibition, hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in collaboration with the Korean Institute for Culture and Economy Promotion, the RoK Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the RoK Embassy in Vietnam, will take place at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and the Korean Cultural Center in Hanoi from December 3-14.
This is the first time the Korean Cultural Center will have organized such a large-scale contemporary art exchange exhibition. The organization of the event will mark the collaboration between Korean Curator Chung Joon Mo, who is former Head of the Arts and Literature Research Division under the RoK National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and Vietnamese Curator Trinh Tuan, who is lecturer at the Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts.
These two curators have selected 12 talented painters of contemporary art from both countries to participate in the exhibition, with the aim of introducing most beautiful pieces of the unique monochrome painting genre made by those talented painters with their multi-dimensional views.
Within the framework of the exhibition, painters from both countries will also join the “Artist Talk,” which will take place at the Korean Cultural Center on December 4, and at the Flamingo Dai Lai resort and Thanh Chuong’s Viet Palace on December 5.
