Vietnamese team wins prizes at China–ASEAN Theatre festival

The Vietnamese team was presented with a number of prizes at the 4th China–ASEAN Theatre festival and forum in Nanning, Guangxi, China.

The festival drew the participation of 25 art troupes from ASEAN countries and China with 29 performances. Two performances of the Vietnam National Drama Theatre (VNDT) - a play titled “Lau dai cat” (Sand Castle) and a performance named “Ngu bien” (Five changes) by People’s Artist Le Ngoc received Best Performance awards. This is the 3rd time the VNDT has participated in the festival.

The organizing panel also presented Best Artist awards to People’s Artist Le Ngoc, Meritorious Artist Danh Nhan and artist Thu Huong; Best Author awards to author Nguyen Dang Chuong with the play “Sand Castle”.
In addition, the Best Memoir award of the festival went to Director of VNDT Nguyen The Vinh.
