Ao dai program connects Hanoi's tourism and heritage
PSNews - The first “Ao dai connects Hanoi's tourism and heritage” program was launched in September at Thang Long Imperial Citadel heritage site.
The event, organized by Hanoi municipal Department of Tourism, Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, and Hanoi Communal House Club, attracted the participation of more than 100 cadres, civil servants, and people of Hanoi, and international friends.
Ao dai, the traditional costume of Vietnam that is familiar among international friends, has a long history of development. Ao dai is diverse in designs and materials that varies in different regions.
According to the organizers, the program was among activities to promote Hanoi’s tourism and honor the traditional Vietnamese dress, and the capital’s heritage and an activity towards the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023 slated for this October.
They hoped that this event helped introduce and popularize Hanoi’s tourist attractions, and will be organized annually on the occasion of the National Day (September 2).
After the launch, participants in Ao dai cycled through streets, especially tourist attractions, such as Hoang Dieu - Dien Bien Phu - Doc Lap (Ba Dinh Square) - Hoang Van Thu - Hung Vuong - Thanh Nien (Tran Quoc Pagoda) - Phan Dinh Phung - Hang Dau - Tran Nhat Duat - O Quan Chuong - Hang Chieu - Dong Xuan - Hang Khoai - Hang Luoc - Cha Ca - Luong Van Can - Le Thai To - Hang Khay - Dinh Tien Hoang, and more.
