Exhibition honors 75th anniversary of Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs Day

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Le Quang Tung and a number of former ambassadors, representatives of the Vietnam Film Institute as well as veterans, war correspondents, cinematographers, historical researchers, and film researchers.

About 200 photographs, panels, and artifacts are on display depicting the resilience of local people and international solidarity to Quang Tri during the war as well as the humanitarian assistance from the international community to address the war legacy issues and Quang Tri’s development today.

Addressing at the exhibition, Minister Nguyen Van Hung appreciated the efforts of the Vietnam Film Institute and the cooperation of the exhibition organizers to look back at the realistic and vivid images of the fierceness of the war; brave spirit, ready to sacrifice of Quang Tri army and people in the struggle for national liberation.

At the exhibition, Minister Nguyen Van Hung presented a film collection about Quang Tri to the representative of Quang Tri province. The exhibition will take place until July 27 at the Quang Tri Mine Action Visitor Center, in Dong Ha city. 

The same day, a seminar themed "Quang Tri- Aspiration for Peace" also took place at the Quang Tri Mine Action Visitor Center

The seminar included many meaningful contents such as memories of veterans, reporters, soldiers in Quang Tri battlefield; the values ​​of the cinematic heritage in the struggle for national liberation, expressing the will and aspiration for peace of the Vietnamese people; the domestic and international support during the war and post-war recovery for Quang Tri from the bomb-stricken area to become a safe and friendly destination.
