Festival of oldest pagoda in Vietnam's central region kicked off
PSNews - Hoang Phuc Pagoda - a national historic Site is one of the oldest pagodas in the Central region of Vietnam. This -year festival was kicked off on February 5 with many cultural and spiritual activities Buddhist rituals.

In particular, this year’s Buddha bathing water procession attracted a large number of people to attend. In order to receive the sacred water, the organizers selected strong, healthy boys to race boats upstream to the upper Kien Giang River to bring back water.
Mr. Dang Dai Tinh, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Le Thuy district (Quang Binh province) said, to ensure that people come to participate in the festival in the safest and most thoughtful way, the district People’s Committee has implemented propagandize to all agencies, departments and communes and townships on ensuring security, order and traffic safety. Thereby, this year’s festival was initially organized very completely and safely.
Within the framework of the program, the Standing Committee of Le Thuy District Youth Union organized the “Folk Game Festival” attracting hundreds of visitors and people to have fun and experience; organize the program “Journey to the source”, visit and introduce students of universities across the country to tourist attractions of the home district.
