Gastronomic Festival “Flavors of Peru”- II Edition Asia in Hanoi
In honor of the 204th Anniversary of Peru’s Independence, the Embassy of Peru in Vietnam, in partnership with the InterContinental Hanoi Westlake Hotel and A Au Vocational Guidance Corporation, host a Gastronomic Festival titled “Flavors of Peru”- II Edition Asia, a week-long series of culinary events taking place from July 9 to 13, 2025.
Following the success of the first edition held in Bangkok, this second Asian edition showcases the richness and diversity of Peruvian cuisine through the talent of four distinguished Peruvian chefs currently leading acclaimed restaurants across Asia: Chef Abel Ortiz Alvarez (Chullschick, Hong Kong), Chef Franco Aldana (Feliz, Malaysia), Chef R. Rodrigo Serrano (DIP Nikkei, Philippines), and Chef Pier Lopez Mendizabal (Yunka Nikkei, Vietnam).
During the Gastronomic Festival, participants will enjoy a diverse lineup of classic Peruvian specialties such as ceviche, pollo a la brasa, anticuchos, causa limeña, papa a la huancaína, lomo saltado, ají de gallina, arroz criollo, solterito salad, picarones, suspiro a la limeña, alfajores, pisco sours, chicha morada, maca latte, and more.
The gastronomic week is a unique opportunity to promote Peru’s world-renowned cuisine, which was further confirmed when Peruvian restaurant Maido was officially named the World’s Best Restaurant 2025 in a list of 50 restaurants.
