Hoi An Culture Days launched in France
Hoi An City Cultural Days was launched in Paris, France to introduce and promote the culture and characteristics of Vietnam’s UNESCO-recognised world heritage site to French people and foreign visitors on August 29.
Hoi An Cultural Days was organized at the Vietnamese Cultural Centre in Paris, France on August 29 and 30 to introduce and promote the culture and characteristics of Hoi An city in the central province of Quang Nam to French people and foreign visitors.
Addressing the two-day festival, Nguyen Van Son, Chairman of the Hoi An municipal administration, said that the event aimed to popularize Hoi An’s culture and people to international friends and nurture the friendship between Vietnam and France.
Over the past years, Hoi An has strived to become an attractive tourist destination in the central region of Vietnam. The city welcomes more than five million visitors each year.
Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang said that Hoi An is a favourite destination of both domestic and foreign holiday-makers, and the pride of Vietnam.
The event was part of a series of activities to mark the 50 founding anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries and the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership.
