Kim Ngan Communal House Festival hosted in Hanoi

A large-scale traditional procession was held in Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, on April 22, as part of activities within the framework of the Kim Ngan Communal House Festival, featuring the participation of various individuals, businesses and organisations of the jewellery industry around the country.

The event will contribute to improve people’s awareness and responsibility in preserving cultural heritage and traditional handicrafts in Hanoi’s old quarter; promote tourism and economic development in the locality.

The traditional procession takes place from 4pm to 5:30pm on April 22, attracting a large number of Hanoi citizens and visitors.

The palanquin procession starts from Kim Ngan communal house and runs through the following streets, including Hang Bac - Hang Be - Hang Dau - Dinh Tien Hoang - Hang Khay - Le Thai To - Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square - Hang Dao - Hang Bac, and then returns to the Kim Ngan communal house.

Young people participate in the festival with the aspiration of preserving the inherent cultural values and traditional crafts. With its large scale, this year's procession draws the participation of citizens of all ages, who all want to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere.

The procession attracts a large number of people who are interested and immersed in the festive atmosphere.

The activity has practical significance for not only religious demand but also performance of famous Hanoi’s jewellery traditional villages.
