Quang noodle - A quintessence of Quang Nam cuisine
PSNews - The Quang Nam Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on August 5-7 held the first Quang noodle festival at Thanh Chiem village, Dien Phuong, Dien Ban, Quang Nam with the theme "The Quintessence of Quang - Phu Chiem noodle".
The three-day Quang noodle festival was an activity to respond to major tourism and cultural events of Quang Nam province in 2022 such as the national tourism year with the theme "Quang Nam - A green tourism destination" and the 420th anniversary of the establishment of Quang Nam Palace, also known as Thanh Chiem.
This was also a meaningful activity to preserve and promote specialties with distinctive flavors of Quang, honoring artisans of Phu Chiem craft village in particular.
The highlight of the festival was the final round of cooking noodles by 20 Phu Chiem artisans, who were selected from hundreds of chefs in the communes.
Within the framework of this festival, the organizing board also held a photo contest named "Art photo of Quang noodle" and a poetry writing contest about Quang noodle.
Besides, the organizing board introduced visitors a book named "Quang noodle: learning about culinary history and values" and held an exchange programme on Quang and Japanese noodles.
