Founded by Master Huynh Chieu Duong in Brussels in 2002, Thuy Phap is a traditional Vietnamese martial art known for its gent flexible, adaptive movements, inspired by the essence of water.

On March 30, as part of “Vietnam-Belgium in Harmony for Health and Sports”, a Thuy Phap martial art performance took place at Hoan Kiem Walking Street, drawing significant public attention.

This event was part of the “Vietnam-Belgium in Harmony for Health and Sports” program, held in conjunction with the state visit of their Majesties from March 31 to April 4, at the invitation of President Luong Cuong and his Spouse.

Belgian practitioner Brugidou Jérémie, along with his fellow students, demonstrated Thuy Phap forms using traditional Vietnamese martial arts weapons such as the staff, sword, and saber.

Thuy Phap emphasizes flexible, graceful movements inspired by the qualities of water. Featuring martial artists from Vietnam and Belgium, the performance highlighted the harmony of strength and grace, reflecting the close cultural ties between the two nations.

Although created in Belgium, Thuy Phap fully embodied the spirit of Vietnamese martial arts, helping to further tightening the cultural connection between the two countries.

Minister-President of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region Rudi Vervoort, Master Huynh Chieu Duong, and Vice President of the World Federation of Vietnam Vocotruyen Le Ngoc Quang presented gifts and medals to Vietnamese and Belgian martial artists.
