Uncle Ho's love for Hanoi seen through photography exhibition
PSNews - On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of UNESCO Resolution honouring President Ho Chi Minh (1890-1990), the Hanoi Municipal Department of Cultures and Sports in collaboration with the Managing Board of President Ho Chi Minh's relic site kicked off an exhibition themed “President Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi capital”.
With more than 150 photos, documents and excerpts and dozens of artifacts and precious books, “President Ho Chi Minh with Hanoi Capital” display consists of two parts, including “President Ho Chi Minh with Hanoi” and “Memorial Monuments and Relics of President Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam and around the world”.
The exhibition's first part introduces the public stories, photos, articles, and talks showing the late President’s concerns about Hanoi. Photographs of President Ho Chi Minh’s working trips in Hanoi are the most vivid evidence of his special care for the capital's workers and people.
The exhibition's second part, “Memorial Monuments and Relics of President Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam and around the world, " shows the Vietnamese and international friends' deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh.
This is an activity marking 35 years of UNESCO Resolution honouring President Ho Chi Minh (1890-1990) – a Hero of National Liberation and a Great Man of Culture of Vietnam; and the 68th Liberation Day of Hanoi (October 10).
In Vietnam, there are currently about 700 monuments, 30 statues and squares and more than 100 monuments dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh.
Meanwhile, 35 monuments, statues, schools, roads, parks and museums named after the late leader of Vietnam in 22 nations around the world such as Russia, France, Cuba, India, China, Laos and Thailand.
