Vietnamese Ethnic Groups’ Culture Day to be held in mid-April
PSNews - The Vietnamese Ethnic Groups’ Culture Day will take place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi’s suburban Son Tay township from April 14-19.
Themed "Colours of Vietnamese ethnic groups’ cultures", this year's event will draw the participation of over 200 people from 17 ethnic communities of 15 provinces and cities nationwide, along with many scientists, researchers and artists.
The program aims to honor the Vietnamese Ethnic Groups’ Culture Day of (April 19) while introducing visitors to the culture, customs and practices of ethnic minorities.
The organising board will mark off a culture space featuring cultures of ethnic groups in the northwestern and northeastern regions, with the highlight being mountainous markets where visitors can not only enjoy typical dishes of each locality, but also enjoy art performances and play folk games.
A number of talkshows and seminars will be organized within the framework of the event, including a cultural forum themed "Vietnamese Ethnic Culture - Resources for the development of a prosperous and happy country".
Many unique festivals and celebrations of ethnic groups across the country will also be reproduced at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism within the framework of the program.
Notably, an art show entitled ‘Love Songs of the Central Highland’ will be staged as part of the programme, entertaining the audience with folk songs, dances and musical instruments of the Ta Oi, Xo Dang, Co Tu, Raglai, and Rade ethnic groups.
