2,000 runners to join Son Tra Run Challenge 2023

The event, co-hosted by the Vietnam Television Centre in the Central Region – Central Highlands (VTV8) and the Son Tra district People’s Committee, gathers 2,000 runners from 10 countries and territories.

The event aims to raise public awareness on sea and island environmental protection, at the same time calling on the locals, tourists to join hands to protect the country’s sea and island environment and promoting the beauty of Vietnam’s tourism.

Son Tra Run Challenge 2023, consisting of 3 categories including 6km, 16km and 26km runs, will be broadcasted live on the VTV8 channel.

According to the organizers, the runners will have opportunity to race through the most beautiful roads with extraordinary natural landscapes of Son Tra peninsula, the precious jewel of the central beach city and home to many rare animals and plants such as red shanked douc langurs, a rare species deemed the "Queen of Primates".

Athletes and visitors will also have a chance to experience local popular tourist destinations and local culture.
