5 Phu Yen fishermen returning home from the Philippines

Philippines President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and representatives of the Philippine Central Government and the Pangasinan Provincial authorities attended the event.
The Vietnamese Ambassador to Philippines Ly Quoc Tuan and Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Hung, Vietnamese Defense Attaché were also present at the event and inquired after the fishermen.
Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte stated that, at the request of the top leaders of Vietnam, in the spirit of humanity and friendly relations of the two countries, the Philippine Government had completed the procedures and assisted in returning the 5 fishermen and the fishing vessel to Vietnam.
Vietnam Ambassador to the Philippines Ly Quoc Tuan extended his thanks to President Rodrigo R. Duterte and the Philippine Government for their assistance.
Fishing vessel PY-96173-TS is being taken by the Philippine Coast Guard to the international sea before returning home.
Earlier on October 7, the remains of two fishermen of the fishing vessel PY-96173-TS were sent back to Vietnam.
