The new cases found in Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces were mostly detected in isolation and lockdown areas and linked to laborers working at industrial zones. In addition, those detected in Hanoi are associated with previous outbreaks and came into contact with individuals already placed in quarantine.
Most of the new cases in Ho Chi Minh City are tied to the Revival Ekklesia Mission.
The country has so far confirmed 6,657 locally-transmitted cases of the virus and 1,538 imported ones.
The death toll remains at 49, whilst the overall number of recoveries is 3,085.
