British Council and Hanoi’s Department of Education and Training sign MoU
PSNews–The British Council in Vietnam and the Department of Education and Training of Hanoi on August 15 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on education cooperation.

The signing ceremony saw the presence of British Ambassador to Vietnam Gareth Ward.
The year of 2018 marks 25th anniversary of operation of the British Council in Vietnam and 45 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the UK. The signing of the MoU is also part of activities to celebrate the two anniversaries.
The MoU specifies certain contents of cooperation between the two signatories such as: supporting English teachers in developing their language abilities, skills and teaching methods; assisting schools in improving teaching and learning by developing capacities of school leaders, teachers and students; supporting parents and students to access the UK and international examination and evaluation systems; supporting assessment of the English proficiency of teachers and students; enhancing understanding of study opportunities in the UK and the British Council network for local students.
