In particular, the suspension would be applied for taxi services and under nine-seat touring cars, including ride-hailing services such as GrabCar.
Motorbikes are also suspended from transporting passengers (including GrabBike), and ride-hailing services have to stop delivery services as well.
The service can resume operation when all drivers test negative with SARS-COV-2, and all of them are given healthy certificates.
This means that restaurants and cafes can still offer takeaway services, but home delivery will not be allowed.
Meanwhile, strict regulations on COVID-19 prevention remain in place for public sites and markets, with gatherings of more than five people banned.
Da Nang authority also planned to launch mass COVID-19 testing for all local people this week, ahead of the elections on May 23, to ensure the safety for voters.
