Five illegal immigrants found in HCM City
Chinese citizens are arrested for illegally entering Vietnam |
Officers on duty at 19:00 on March 14 originally noticed five foreign nationals, aged between 19 and 23, in 5A hamlet of Loc Tan commune.
Upon being questioned by police, the suspects, all of whom originate from in China, were unable to present any legal entry papers. Of the group, four had Chinese identification cards.
The Chinese nationals stated that they had previously entered the country illegally on March 7, making use of an official route along the northern border before moving to Chiu Riu junction of Loc Thanh commune and resting at a motel. The suspects were eventually caught by the police while attempting to hire a car in order to travel to Ho Chi Minh City.
At present, the case is currently under further investigation.
