HCM City supports direct air route to Czech Republic’s Prague

At a June 8 meeting with visiting Czech Minister of Justice Robert Pelikan, both sides stated that the air route will help bolster tourism as well as people-to-people diplomacy between the two nations.
Phong told his guest that HCM City desires to augment cooperation with the Czech Republic as the bilateral economic and trade links remain modest.

He called on Czech businesses to invest in the city in infrastructure, vehicles, energy, the manufacturing of farming machines and electric equipment, and food processing industry.
Phong expressed his belief that the Czech Republic, with its role in the EU, will help connect and reinforce relations between Vietnam and the EU, particularly in trade and investment.
Robert Pelikan, in turn affirmed Czech enterprises' readiness to invest in the southeast Asian nation, noting that Vietnam holds huge potential and opportunities for enhancing stronger trade ties with the Czech Republic.
