Hanoi intensifies COVID-19 prevention measures ahead of holidays
Hanoi recorded 3 imported COVID-19 cases from April 19 to 25, according to Vice Director of Hanoi’s Health Department Hoang Duc Hanh.
Hanh added that although the situation in Hanoi has been under control, risks are still high and some people appear to lack vigilance against the pandemic. He also warned that the large crowds as the holidays are coming would be a chance for the pandemic to spread.
Vice Chairman Chu Xuan Dung asked all agencies and forces of the city to intensify their prevention measures.
Measures should be taken, including health declaration via QR code, and Ministry of Health’s 5K instructions: khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration). The vice chairman noted that a moment of neglect might led to severe consequences.
Large gatherings would be restricted. Hanoi would continue the vaccination phase 2; strengthen supervision on immigration, especially pre-entry conditions; and safety regulations would be tightened at quarantine facilities.
