The Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union will present more than 2,000 gifts worth over 500 million VND (21,600 USD) to disadvantaged local children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

It’s one of various activities to be rolled out by the city’s youth union in support of underprivileged children, especially children of local workers, until October 4.

In cooperation with Vietnam Fatherland Front committees in districts, the youth union has also organised art programmes, folk games, and film screenings, and presented scholarships to children with outstanding academic results.

Targeted children include those with disabilities and the thousands of children of workers at processing, industrial, and high-tech parks in the city.
