Khanh Hoa province sees rise in dengue fever cases

Nha Trang city has the highest number of dengue fever patients in the province with over 450 cases, followed by Ninh Hoa town with approximately 280 cases, and Dien Khanh district with roughly 150 cases.
In the eighth week of the year alone the province reported 97 fresh cases, a rise of 73.2% compared to the previous week.
In contrast, Van Ninh district witnessed a decrease in the number of dengue fever cases, while Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh district recorded no new cases. Despite this, the five remaining districts of the locality confirmed an increase in terms of the number of dengue fever patients.
Due to the rise in the number of cases, the provincial health sector has directed localities to launch campaigns aimed at raising awareness among citizens of the need to eradicate mosquito larvae.
In addition to this action, local health facilities have been urged to increase inspections, promptly detect and prepare plans to help localities deal with dengue fever outbreaks, along with thoroughly spraying chemicals in dengue-hit areas to stamp out the epidemic.
