PSNews – The National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) decided to provide free meals for children aged 0-16 who are infected with COVID-19 or quarantined in concentration centers.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), around 6% of the quarantined cases, including F0 and F1, are children (around 4,000).

Recognizing the situation, Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung recently said that NFVC will provide children aged 0-16 who are quarantined in concentration centers with free meals worth VND 80,000 per day per child during their quarantine period. The policy is applied from April 27 to December 31.

The MOLISA and the NFVC also donated Bac Giang, Bac Ninh and Dien Bien Province 1.2 billion VND each in support of their fight against COVID-19.

Earlier, the MOLISA sent Dispatch No. 217/TE-CSTE to Departments of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of all provinces and cities asking local agencies to further protect children from COVID-19.
