Major bus stations of Hanoi to become parking lots and interchanges

The Department of Hanoi Transportation announced on April 25 that the unit has just submitted to the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee a plan to transform Hanoi’s four major bus stations into parking lots and interchanges.

According to the Department of Hanoi Transportation, this plan is a part of the master project to develop bus stations, parking lots, logistics centers and stopovers in Hanoi to 2030 with a vision toward 2050.

Currently, these bus stations continue to be operational and will be upgraded within the existing framework. However, in the long run, four major bus stations in Hanoi will be transformed into communications hubs, like parking lots and bus interchanges.

Specifically, Gia Lam intercity bus station, Giap Bat bus station, Nuoc Ngam and My Dinh bus station will respectively become parking lots and bus interchanges the city dwellers after 2020 and 2025.
