Mass vaccination begins in COVID-19 hotspot of Viet Yen

The northern province of Bac Giang started a mass vaccination drive in pandemic-hit communes of Viet Yen district from June 1. The program is expected to take 7 – 10 days.

On May 31, the Ministry of Health provided 120,000 doses of COVID vaccine to Bac Giang.
Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son directly visited the vaccine warehouse at the Bac Giang Center for Disease Control (CDC) to check the 120,000 doses of vaccine.
Dao Giang, Manager of the vaccine warehouse, said that the CDC of Bac Giang currently has 10 vaccine cabinets, and each can hold 30,000 doses.
All vaccine cabinets can run on for 2 days in case of power blackout. They are also equipped with automatic and remote monitoring systems.
