According to initial plan, only eight persons in good health conditions would fly home first, but one more was deemed to be fit enough to go home after health checkups.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City-based travel agency Saigontourist, which organised the seven-day Egyptian tour for the group, the remaining three tourists are being treated at the Sheikh Zayed Specialized Hospital. They are recovering well and are likely to go back to Vietnam this weekend. At a working session between Nguyen Huu Y Yen, General Director of Saigon Tourist, and relevant sides, it was agreed that the bodies of three tourists killed during the incident will be brought home on January 2.
The Vietnamese tourists were victims of a bombing in Egypt on December 28. Their bus was hit by a bomb at 18:15 (local time) on the way to the airport to return home after a trip to Giza pyramids, concluding their seven-day tour organised by Saigontourist. Three Vietnamese tourists and one Egyptian guide were killed in the bombing.
