Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh presents 1.5 tons of rice to needy people

In our history, To Tung commune is known as the land of revolutionary tradition, the hometown of Nup hero - the son of the strong and courageous Ba Na ethnic group.
Currently, To Tung is just an agricultural commune with 1,300 households. Of which, the ethnic minorities account for more than 84% with 249 needy households.
Although the authorities at all levels paid much attention in economic development and infrastructure, people there still have to face with unfavourable land and climate.
On behalf of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, representatives of the Public Security Newspaper and the Gia Lai Provincial Police presented 1.5 tons of rice to 60 needy families in To Tung, on the occasion of the upcoming lunar new year.
Additionally, through the charitable programme "Tet for needy people" of the Public Security Newspaper, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh donated 15 tons of rice to needy households in Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces. , Lam Dong.
