Reporters to undergo second COVID-19 test ahead of National Party Congress

All reporters attending the event must undergo two tests for COVID-19, and their negative results will enable them to do the job at the congress.

Many reporters from localities nationwide are present at the headquarters of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communication and Education in order to take the test.

Doctors and nurses of the Central Lung Hospital and E Hospital are on hand to test everyone.

Reporters complete a medical declaration form over a 14-day period.

Organisers say all reporters who took part in the initial stage have tested negative for COVID-19.

January 23 sees hundreds of samples taken from reporters.

COVID-19 testing is mandatory for everyone attending the congress to ensure the safety of the event.

The samples are sent to hospitals for testing and the results will be announced shortly.

The Communist Party of Vietnam will hold the 13th National Congress in Hanoi from January 25 to February 2.
